How do I find an on-campus job?


Below are the current on campus job opportunities. Aramark (Dining Services) hires independently from ACU and maintains a website for employment opportunities.


We encourage everyone to create and maintain a current resume for job applications. If you need help creating a resume please see the Career Center Guides link in the left sidebar.


How do I find out about off-campus job opportunities?


Jobs like babysitting, housekeeping, lawn mowing, etc. are posted on the bulletin board in the Campus Center. Check ACU CareerLink for pre-professional off campus part-time opportunities as well as the local newspaper.

Supplemental Instruction Leader

Department: University Access Programs

Position: Supplemental Instruction Leader

Qualifications:

  • Must be sophomore standing or higher
  • An overall GPA of 3.25 or higher is required
  • Must have received an A in the selected course 
  • Applicant must have been previously enrolled in the course;
    preferably enrolled with the professor who is to teach the selected
    course
  • Content-competency is required and must be able to demonstrate
    effective study strategies (to be determined by selected course
    faculty member)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills are required 
  • Strong desire to encourage college peers to become academically
    successful

Position Description:

  • Facilitate peer-led group study sessions 
  • Must commit to 10 hours a week and attend course lecture. 
  • Expectations are to attend class (3 hrs); conduct SI sessions (3 hrs);
    complete class assignments and SI session preparation (2 hrs);
    weekly SI training (1 hr); and office hour (1 hr).
  • Participate in SI training conducted by SI supervisor (required) prior to
    the start of each semester and weekly meetings
  • Effectively communicate and meet with faculty member for SI course
  • Able to maintain confidentiality 

Preferred Availability

  • Position: 
    • Must be able to attend the class lectures for the semester
    • General Biology II Lecture (BIOL 113.01); MWF 8:00am-8:50am
    • Must be able to start January 12, 2018 for in-house training
