How do I find an on-campus job?


Below are the current on campus job opportunities. Aramark (Dining Services) hires independently from ACU and maintains a website for employment opportunities.

How do I find out about off-campus job opportunities?


Jobs like babysitting, housekeeping, lawn mowing, etc. are posted on the bulletin board in the Campus Center. Check ACU CareerLink for pre-professional off campus part-time opportunities as well as the local newspaper.

Graphic Design Production Assistant

Department: Creative Services

Position: Graphic Design Production Assistant

Qualifications:

  • Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
    • Help provide design and production assistance for Creative Services projects
    • Edit existing design projects and create new ones
    • Prepare proofs for customers
    • Prepare/send files to vendors
    • Scan photographs or other art
    • Edit digital photography and prepare images for photo library
    • Help manage digital photo library
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Job Qualifications:
    • Full-time ACU student
    • Graphic design major
    • Recommended by faculty in Department of Art and Design
    • Valid driverís license
  • Skills:
    • Demonstrate proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop or Illustrator, Excel, Word and PowerPoint/Keynote
    • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrate responsibility and maturity in working with others
    • Demonstrate accuracy in daily tasks
    • Demonstrate ability to work with and without supervision
    • Learn and provide excellent customer service
    • Learn and practice Associated Press and ACU style
    • Successfully meet deadlines
       

Position Description:

  • Daily Tasks:
    • Edit or design projects as directed
    • Communicate effectively with supervisor, staff and student teammates
    • Keep personal and team workspace clean and orderly
    • Other duties as assigned, including pickups, deliveries, errands, special projects that may not be related to design work

Preferred Availability

  • Monday - Friday
    • 8 am - 5 pm
  • Location: Vanderpool Building (1718 Campus Court, 674-2690)
  • Supervisor: Todd Mullins
  • Part-time, non-exempt student employment: up to 20 hours/week during long semesters (must work at least 2 hours at a time); summer schedule negotiable
